He become pharaoh at the age of nine, but he died eight years later. When he died, the ancient Egyptians mummified his body and put it in a tomb with a lot of treasure. In 1922, Howard Carter, a British archeologist, went to the Vallery of the Kings in Egypt. He was looking for mummies. One day, Carter and his men were exploring when they found a tomb. Inside the tomb, Carter and his friend, Lord Carnarvon, found the mummy of Tutankhamen and his treasure. The two men took the mummy and the treasure from the tomb. Aften that, there were many stories about a mysterious curse. For example, an insect bit Lord Carnavon on his face and he died. Then archaeologists found the same mark on Tutankhamen's face. In England, Lord Carnarvon's dog died at the same time as Lord Carnarvon. Some other archaelogists died when they were yound. Was this the curse of Kings Tutankhamen? Scientists have got another explanation for the mystery. While they were studying some other mumies, they found dangerous bacteria.
